With spring just around the corner here in the UK we thought it an opportune moment to send you a summary of our recent product updates for SiteSphere:

SiteSphere Cloud Publishing

Serve your website from cloud-based servers

Use static snapshots of your website to improve performance using SiteSphere's RapidServe technology
Publish live and test sites to cloud-based servers via our secure FTP services
RapidServe even supports static and partially dynamic websites (ecommerce stores)
Take advantage of limitless scaling and load-balancing using the latest CDN's (Content Distribution Networks)

SiteSphere is now able to publish your website to servers based in 'the cloud'. This means you can now take advantage of cloud-based infrastructure at multiple locations enhancing access to your website around the world. SiteSphere publishes an entire website to cloud-hosted servers minimizing or, in many instances, completely eliminating the need for a database. This greatly reduces website page loading time - even for data-intensive ecommerce stores.

SiteSphere LDAP Integration

Log users into your website using your LDAP-compatible enterprise directory

Allow the users from your website partners to be registered on your internal LDAP-compatible directory, such as Active Directory
Provides enterprise-level authentication behind your firewall

SiteSphere now enables users to login to your website using your company's address book held in any LDAP-compatible directory. Many organisations use a shared address book based on Microsoft's Active Directory. This enables contact details to be stored and updated in one location for the entire company, using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). Now you no longer need to set up a separate login for each employee using SiteSphere instead you just need to enable logging in using the company's existing address book. This means that areas of the website can be configured as part of your Intranet, which only employees and associates of the organisation can access.

Visitors to your website can now produce high quality PDFs of your product pages without having any special software installed. At the click of a button product pages on your SiteSphere website can now be easily turned into printable datasheets using Adobe's popular Portable Document (PDF) format. Product pages with detailed specifications can now be downloaded as PDF documents for reading offline using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader or even Google Chrome. PDF documents are also the ideal format for producing professional-looking printouts. One template can be used to make PDFs of all your product pages.
